In the era when Nintendo dominated with GAME BOY, many handheld game consoles were released, but Bandai's WonderSwan and SNK's Neo Geo Pocket were ambitious hardware that tried to break down Nintendo's stronghold. Both hardware released color versions and various character limited editions, but they couldn't compete with Nintendo's hardware.
