Unused, long-term storage item: a Hyotan (gourd) and Karusa (scroll) Maki-e incense container.
This is a work by Seizan, and comes with a matching box.
It is a flat, round incense container made of black lacquer, with gold maki-e of gourds and flowers, and arabesque patterns on the lid.
Small mother-of-pearl is inlaid in the center of the flowers, and it shines depending on the angle.
There are no stains, cracks, or chips, but please forgive any overlooked scratches.
The matching box is in good condition.
