Purchased from an antique shop in Belgium. This is a plate from the Karl Thieme workshop, founded in 1872. They are the only ones in Dresden to manufacture from raw porcelain. Due to being made entirely to order, the production numbers are low, making them difficult to obtain in Japan, and even more so for antiques. The painting is comparable to, if not better than, Meissen. It is a beautiful item without chips or cracks, but please understand that there may be stains, scratches, and minor imperfections due to age, as well as color transfer (image 4) and black spots that occurred during the manufacturing process.
