Thank you for viewing. This is a long bag for Tsugaru-jamisen (a type of Japanese shamisen). It was made by upcycling a kimono that I no longer wear. The outer fabric is green silk with a crane design from a formal visiting kimono (houmongi), and the lining is cotton. The vertical length is approximately 112cm, the width is approximately 32cm, and the gusset of the part where the otaiko (drum) goes is approximately 11cm. The length of the string is approximately 125cm and the width is approximately 3cm. Photo 5 shows the shamisen (not included) inside the bag. I keep cats and rabbits indoors.
