Size: Diameter: Approximately 13 cm, Height: Approximately 1.5 cm Ouchi-nuri is a traditional craft of Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, originating in the Muromachi period under the Ouchi clan. It is characterized by a deep vermilion color, called Ouchi-shu, a subdued and deep shade of red. While many items feature painted designs, these plates have the natural wood exposed on the edges and outer surfaces, as if covering the deep vermilion, giving them a dignified style that allows you to feel the warmth of the wood. Brand new and unused, they were wrapped in tissue paper and stored in a dedicated box. Holding them up to a light, you can see slight scratches and stains that appear to have occurred during storage. They are not clearly visible in the images, but we are offering them at a bargain price as a result, so please confirm and understand before purchasing. The box has some stains due to aging.
