Silk is excellent in moisture absorption, moisture release, quick drying, and heat retention, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is also said to have skin beautifying and UV-cut effects. We use silk kimonos. As a way to identify whether it is silk, we select based on the feel of the fabric, the fact that it is entirely hand-sewn, and a burn test. We consider fading and discoloration to be part of the charm of vintage clothing.
