I mostly used it indoors, so I think there is little dirt. I always had it attached to my camera, so both front and rear lens caps are included. The mounting thread is 37mm. I remember that it could be attached to an OLYMPUS micro four-thirds lens 14-42mm, but please confirm this yourself before purchasing.
