This is a pair of Vans Old Skool sneakers. This model was the first to feature the iconic side stripe. Originally called Style 36 when it was first released in 1977, the side stripe design, the most distinctive feature of this model, was based on a doodle by Paul Van Doren, the founder. After being renamed "OLD SKOOL" in the early 90s, it became a classic and has remained a popular model to this day.
