This is a very old Yamaha tenor trombone, the YSL-351. Since it was replaced by the YSL-353 or YSL-3530R 40 years ago, it is naturally an older instrument. Considering its age, I think it's a very clean instrument. The slide moves smoothly. The stocking area is also very clean. Unfortunately, there are some small dents and scratches on the bell flare, possibly due to the bell and slide interfering inside the case (see photo 11). There were two separate small dents (photos 12 and 13). There are several small dents on the tip of the slide (photos 3, 4, 5, and 6). They are small and shouldn't affect playing. I bought it at an auction 5 or 6 years ago and have kept it stored away. I've played it for about 3 hours, and I felt it was an instrument that resonates well. Perhaps due to the red brass bell, it seems to have more weight in the sound than the 251 of the same era. Also, high notes are easy to hit. It's not as good as a CONN 48H with the same specifications, but it's still a pretty solid instrument.
