Wooden Noh Mask: Choryo Beshimi The Noh mask Choryo Beshimi (長霊べし見) takes its name from the mask maker Choryo. This mask is specifically used for the role of Kumasaka Chohan, who appears in [Eboshi-ori] and [Kumasaka]. The thick eyebrows and full beard give the mask the air of a great bandit. The gold-crowned eyes appear surprised, and also have a charming quality. The softness of the "w"-shaped wrinkles between the eyebrows, the raised area below the tightly closed mouth, the natural expression of the puffed cheeks, and the energetic depiction of the beard, with the tips curling like ferns to create swirls, all combine to make this an interesting mask that suits a playful face.
