This is a top by Jan-Jan Van Essche made of a stiff (probably) knitted fabric, like a woven one. (Sorry if I'm wrong) I bought it a while ago at a select shop called NID in Shibuya. It has the characteristic Jan-Jan Van Essche feel with its subdued fabric, and I think it's a piece of clothing that will develop character the more you wear it. The fabric feels substantial. (See photo 5) It's the perfect warmth for layering over a cut-and-sew in the chilly seasons of early spring and autumn. It has a moderate firmness and the fabric doesn't cling to the body, so it can also be worn as an outer layer.
