This is a piccolo made of composite wood (a wood and resin composite like Grenaditte or Green Line, not just a simple plastic tube, so it sounds closer to wood). It's an OEM product from a company that makes wooden flutes. It comes with a composite wood body (with a lip plate, making it very easy to play) and a head joint made of nickel silver with silver plating. It allows for smooth playing up to four octaves and is easy to use. It would also be good for outdoor use.
