It appears slightly gray due to the light reflection, but it is black (as seen in photo 3). I wore it a few years ago at a wedding. There is a slight sheen on the back, possibly from ironing (see photo 2). Other than that, I don't think there are any noticeable stains, but please understand that this is a personal inspection. I will fold it and ship it via Yu-packet.
