It's a heartwarming motif of a baby and Hotei (a god of good fortune) swaying like a seesaw. ^_^ I haven't bought many classical crafts, so I'm not very knowledgeable, but I feel that a sculpture with movement is rare. It's heavy and made of hard wood, possibly boxwood or a type of karaki (hardwood). The hands are well-made, including the string, and the dynamic energy of the karako (Chinese boy) is also present, so it seems like a skilled craftsman carved it.
