This DVD features masterpieces by Debussy and Ravel performed by Sergiu Celibidache and the Munich Philharmonic. Celibidache passed away on August 14, 1996, so this recording was made approximately two years prior. As with his other late-career concerts, he conducts while seated, but the music is vibrant and youthful. Both the audio and video recordings are excellent.
