The inside of the shoulder strap (the part that touches the shoulder) is made of synthetic leather. Therefore, the shoulder strap is a combination of genuine leather and synthetic leather. It is not glued, so it may look like it's peeling, but that's how it's made. It will be lightly folded in half, waterproofed, and shipped in a box.
