This is a tea caddy in the shape of an eggplant, with a dragon-patterned lacquer finish. The lid is shaped like the calyx of an eggplant, and the body of the container is in the shape of an eggplant. Inside the lid, the finish is a matte black lacquer. The caddy is Naruko lacquerware, and the Naruko mark is present. This item was on display in a shop in the 1970s.
