This is the M-47 pile liner, the predecessor to the M-51 Mod's parka, adopted by the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1947 for ground personnel. It is the original fishtail parka. A rare item that seems to be seen less often than the shell. The material is a fluffy synthetic fiber boa used for the body and hood, and the sleeves are switched to wool. The snap buttons are stamped with UNITED CARR, buttons used in vintage items from the 1930s and 40s. Condition: There is damage to both ribs, and there are traces of repair. Also, the strap on the right sleeve is missing. Considering it's from about 80 years ago, it's in good condition and can be worn without any problems.
