A vintage plate from the renowned Rye Pottery, located in the ancient city of Rye, southwest of London. This plate, featuring a hand-painted bird motif, was commissioned in 1993 from Wally Cole, who was also the owner of the workshop. Approximately 16x19 cm. The softly curved oval plate is hand-thrown, so each one has a slightly different shape, which adds to its warmth. Unused since acquisition, it has been displayed in a cupboard.
