◎ This is a S. Yairi YE-50. The serial number is 001005××, making it an early model. The top is solid wood. It's an electric-acoustic type, equipped with a Fishman Classic 4 pickup (see images). The tuners are made by Gotoh (see images). The sound, in my subjective opinion, has pleasant overtones and a bright tone. The sound through the pickup allows for a wide range of sound shaping with the controls, and it sounds very good. ◎ Regarding scratches, the top of the body has pick scratches on and below the pickguard (see images), and there are also a few thin scratches on the lower right side of the body (see images). The back of the body has a few very light scratches (see images). Other than that, there are a few very small scratches and very light scuffs, but there are no major scratches, cracks, or damage (see images). The metal parts, including the tuners, are in a clean condition (see images). The frets show some slight metal fatigue, dullness, and discoloration (see images). The fingerboard has light playing marks and color fading (see images). ◎ The neck has no warping. The string height is approximately 2.8mm at the 12th fret on both the 6th and 1st strings (enough space to fit a 1-yen coin). There is no difficulty playing in the current condition, but if it feels difficult to play, there is room to adjust the bridge saddle by shaving it down. The frets have wear of about 2-3/10 (estimated) in some places, with 7-8/10 remaining. The wear is mainly in the shape of the strings. The pickup circuit is in good working order. ◎ As this is a used item, there may be points that cannot be fully explained or overlooked regarding the detailed condition and the state of the scratches.
