This is a lidded bowl made with genuine lacquer. While the overall condition is poor, the illustrations of the Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō are so beautiful that it's a shame to discard it. I'm offering it for sale because it has value just for display. I don't recommend purchasing it with the intention of using it, but if you were to use it, perhaps around five of them are usable. There are cracks in the lacquer on 4 of the bowls, and small chips on 6 of the bowls. There is a crack in the lacquer on 1 lid, and a small chip on 1 lid. Due to the nature of lacquerware, it's inevitable that there will be some minor imperfections that are overlooked.
