Tsume-tsuzure, where threads are individually drawn together with the fingernails to weave the fabric, requires time and advanced techniques, as the saying goes, "a sun (day) for an inch, five days for an inch, ten days for an inch." When complex patterns are involved, only about 1 cm can be woven in a single day. Therefore, the production volume is extremely low, making it a highly valuable textile. Due to the original low production volume, the aging of artisans, and the lack of successors, the number of weavers with advanced techniques is decreasing year by year.
