This is a Kimekomi doll in a glass case. Kimekomi dolls are made using a technique where grooves are carved into a wooden body, and fabric is inserted into the grooves to create the clothing. This is a set of two dolls: a red princess and a prince with an eggplant-colored hue and gold woven patterns. The case frame is made of plastic resin with glass inserted, and it can be disassembled. There is a stain on the backboard, on the left side. This item has been displayed at my parents' home for many years. It is a Showa-retro item.
