This shielded wire combines the best of vintage quality with top-of-the-line current components. It uses vintage wiring, specifically 1940s-50s Western Electric black enamel solid core wire, known for its superior sound quality, shielded with a braided shield. By replacing the wiring in the jack section, which is particularly effective in circuit upgrades, you can easily improve sound quality and reduce noise with the shielding effect. Western Electric solid core wire provides a very clear sound with excellent output across the entire frequency range. However, its clarity can sometimes be too much when paired with low-output vintage single-coil pickups. By twisting two solid core wires together, you can achieve the nuances of stranded wire. These twisted solid core wires are then combined with a highly effective braided shield for noise reduction. The jack is a top-quality Pure Tone Jack PTT1. Unlike conventional jacks, it features four contact points (two for hot and two for ground) to securely hold the connected phone jack. This prevents looseness and poor contact, while also increasing the contact surface area with the phone jack, improving electrical signal transmission. The length is approximately 24cm, making it easy to use with Stratocasters and Telecasters. The wire diameter is approximately 4mm.
