Handmade Tomte. Tomte are said to be gnomelike creatures that live in Swedish farms and workplaces, protecting the people in the house and bringing them happiness. I wanted to keep one close by, so I made this Tomte in calming colors. I hope you'll enjoy displaying it even outside of Christmas. The fabric is a cotton-linen blend (a subdued navy color with a slight green tint), the beard is faux fur, and the nose is a wooden bead. It contains pellets to make it less likely to fall over (though it's not completely fall-proof). *Please be careful not to pull the beard too hard, as it may come loose.
