This is a work by Mr. Hitoshi Tachibana, the father, who is part of a father-son duo dedicated to pottery in Akizuki, Fukuoka Prefecture. The lid of the box reads "Akizuki-yaki, Haiyu Kushimeme-mon Sara" (Akizuki ware, ash glaze, comb-pattern plate). The glaze on the surface has become glass-like, creating a beautiful plate. The sizes are: large, approximately 28.5cm in diameter and 4.5cm in height; small, approximately 24.0cm in diameter and 3.5cm in height. The lid of the wooden box has faded considerably due to sun exposure, as it was placed near a window in the storehouse.
