NEIGHBORHOOD has a history of over 20 years. In the late 1990s, "Amekaji" (American casual) and "street" styles were popular, centered in Harajuku. NEIGHBORHOOD, which started during this period, was quickly supported by young people and gained popularity as a representative of the "Ura-Hara" (backstreet Harajuku) scene. While many brands that supported the Ura-Hara scene closed down, NEIGHBORHOOD has continued to evolve without changing its brand characteristics and concept of creating clothing and lifestyle inspired by military and outdoor elements.
