The team includes JEORGE TRIPPS, the head of product development for the MXR brand and founder of Way Huge, and Bob Cedro, a former ROCKMAN brand builder who was also involved in the production of the MXR masterpiece Carbon Copy. The first product from this Custom Badass team is the "'78 Distortion." It is said that this pedal was designed with inspiration from the BOSS DS-1, a legendary pedal. Since the DS-1 first appeared on the market in 1978, it is presumed that this pedal was designed with the first year of the DS-1 in mind. The first year of the DS-1 is a representative example of a vintage pedal that trades at premium prices in the used market. I have not compared it to a '78 DS-1, but I believe it will provide a rough, classic distortion in a good way. Please consider this opportunity.
