This is a small bowl by the late 2nd generation Shuseki, with a cobalt blue overlay and a kagome (basket weave) pattern. This is a wonderful piece featuring the traditional Edo Kiriko pattern, the hakaku kagome (octagonal basket weave) pattern. The delicate yet bold cuts, and the feeling of weight when held, are simply breathtaking. Considering the quality of the cuts and the condition, I believe it's a rare find, and you won't easily come across something similar.
