Made from a luxurious black formal kimono (kuro-tomesode) by a renowned artist, featuring a landscape and floral design with a gradation dye (ぼかし染め) and gold and silver accents, made from high-quality silk. It was described as silk when purchased. There is no lining. I think it is a gorgeous kimono.
