These are tea bowls collected by my mother. The work is inscribed with "Seventy-Two Old Man, Chinkei Tsubaki's creation." On the inside of the box lid, Tozan Yamada praises the appearance of the finished piece and writes that it is a masterpiece of his later years. As they are both artists of Tokoname ware, their interaction can be seen, and it makes me feel a little warm inside.
