Unlike the Ko-jishi (small lion) and O-jishi (large lion), the eyebrows and eyes are not raised, but rather droop downwards, giving a humorous appearance. The corners of the mouth are further curved outwards, and the entire mask is covered in gold leaf. It is worn with a white head covering for the dance. It can be said to be a mask that possesses the dignity, style, and majesty of the king of beasts. It is also used for the "Tiger" role in the "Ryuko" (Dragon and Tiger) play.
