This is a large decorative fan that showcases the beautiful wood grain of Yakusugi cedar. It has a width of approximately 54cm and a substantial presence. The design is auspicious, featuring three-dimensional carvings on the knot ties, and will look great as decoration in an entryway or alcove. This Yakusugi artwork was purchased directly on Yakushima Island through my father's work. It comes with a certification seal from the Yakusugi Crafts Cooperative Association. ■Condition It has the fine annual rings, wood grain undulations, and luster characteristic of Yakusugi cedar, and is generally in good condition. There is a small scratch on one edge (see the last photo).
