This is a custom creation of the "PG5-AD," a masterpiece that has been a favorite drafting mechanical pencil for many years, now with a wooden barrel. It features a seamless, beautiful form that tapers towards the tip. The wood species is Karelian burl, red and white. It has sapwood at the top and bottom, with a red section forming an island in the middle. This is my favorite pattern. It has both redness and beautiful sapwood. I think it's a species close to genuine Karelian burl. It has been finished very beautifully. The PG5 has been a long seller for over 50 years, and its light writing feel and fatigue resistance are supported by many people. With Takamura Moku Koubou's wooden barrel customization, we bring out the original charm while adding the warmth and texture unique to wood. Designed to maintain the slim silhouette of the PG5, we minimized the use of metal parts. By utilizing genuine parts, the finished weight is kept to approximately 12-14g. The center of gravity is adjusted to gather at the grip position, naturally fitting the fingers and providing a light writing feel that lasts. The wooden barrel part can be removed and replaced. The surface finish uses a penetrating inorganic glass coating. It penetrates the wood and adheres to the glass, exhibiting high hardness, water resistance, and stain resistance, and can be used for a long time without maintenance. If handled properly, it is resistant to scratches and can maintain a beautiful condition. *Please be aware that strong impacts and rough handling of the clip can cause damage.
