I'm not sure when I bought these, but I've only tried them on and then stored them. I believe the material is enamel, and it has the characteristic slightly sticky feel. The toe area under the ribbon is transparent. I think the ribbon fabric has yellowed, possibly due to long-term storage (see image 6). Otherwise, I don't see any noticeable scratches or stains, but please understand if I've missed anything. There is no outer box.
