Synopsis
Shoichi Sakurai (Kentaro Shimizu) was known as the "Shinjakuki" (Mahjong Demon) in the world of underground professionals. His ruthless play and passion for the game captivated the young substitute player, Matsuoka (Kentaro Nakakura), but also attracted the attention of corrupt bureaucrats who were greedy for the profits of rigged mahjong. Akashi Masatake (Nagare Hagiwara), an elite high-ranking bureaucrat who did not believe in the undefeated legend, nominates Sakurai as his opponent in a political mahjong match to decide the introduction of the next-generation fighter. Knowing Sakurai's character, who would not be swayed by any amount of money, Akashi threatens Matsuoka's safety and forces Sakurai into the match.
