A very large table cloth made of white linen with a textured, crepe-like feel and a subtle sheen. It's large enough to be used as a curtain for a whole window. It would also be lovely as a sofa cover or spread. The most eye-catching feature in the center is the plump, abundant fruit, which looks like apples or cherries, pears, and quinces with stems and leaves. The tightness and looseness of the weave create gentle shadows, like a painting. There are pairs of (pears) or figs in the 12 circular cutouts, which are adorable. The lovely fruits are made with soft cotton linen thread in a (Bruges-style) bobbin lace. The intricate, sun-like flower motifs are made with sturdy Reticella embroidery needlework. Beautiful natural motifs are arranged within open-cut flower shapes and ○◇⊿ frames, and the double-framed ladder lace and leaf-like open cutwork add delicacy and coolness. It has a smooth and moist feel. The color is a gentle off-white. The sheen may be due to silk material, but it is unknown (linen & silk blend?). The owner also did not know.
