This is a piece of fabric from disassembled Oshima Tsumugi. Before being taken apart, it was a smooth, very soft, and clean (genuine silk lining and haori lining with no stains, high-quality fabric) kimono. Because of the soft fabric, I carefully disassembled it without causing any damage. However, upon holding the fabric up to the light, I found some small holes and areas with damage, so I judged that it was a kimono that had been re-sewn after being washed and stretched. (The shoulder cuts are in the usual place, one on each side.) I believe it is antique or semi-antique. It has a moderate luster, a smooth and very supple texture, and is a lovely item with a dark, burnt-brown base featuring a tortoise shell flower pattern and arabesque design. It has become slightly stiffer after steaming. Due to being disassembled, there may be needle holes, remaining threads, and wrinkles. There is a small hole in the fabric under the sleeve. I believe this is a hole from when the sleeve seam was undone during the disassembly before washing and stretching. I would appreciate it if you could use the fabric while avoiding the hole. Otherwise, I think it is clean with no noticeable damage, but please forgive me if I have overlooked anything. Please consider this item with the understanding that it is an antique or vintage item. How about using it for kimono remake projects such as snoods, bags, and accessories? Size (measured by a layman) Width 37.5cm x 110cm, sleeve portion (The actual sleeve length is 122cm. The bottom 10cm from the small hole is not included in the measurement.) Genuine silk I believe it is a split-weave kasuri. It will be folded for packaging. Other fabrics will be listed sequentially. Please note that the shipping method may change between Yu-Yu Mercari and Raku-Raku Mercari. If you purchase multiple items from my other listings, if they can be combined within an A4 size package (3cm thick after packaging), you will receive a 200 yen discount from the second item onwards. Please request this via the comment or request function. Please only purchase if you understand that this is a long-term storage item.
