I tested them on my Game Boy to confirm they work. No operational problems. It might seem trivial, but the Emerald cartridge has a shiny Tentacool with Pokérus. If you move it using a trade code and then reset, you can have a shiny Tentacool from the beginning of the game. (You'll need two consoles and a trade code.) I haven't checked the other Pokémon.
