It was released on October 14, 1998, by For Life Records. It was released approximately one year after the previous work, "Fuzakenjane" (1997), and all lyrics and compositions were by Nagabuchi, with production by Nagabuchi and Toshiaki Fuefuki. The recording was done in Japan, and the music incorporates various elements such as rap, ondo, shoka, children's songs, and nagauta in addition to traditional folk songs, and also includes comical songs. The album includes the single "Yubikiri Genman" (1998), which was used as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama "Surgeon Natsume Sanshiro" (1998), and later "Saru Ippiki, Utaeba Samurai" was released as a re-cut single.
