I am sorting through inherited belongings. From the storage room, a mysterious, extra-large inkstone has emerged. It's an antique, a writing implement, a tea ceremony item, a flower arrangement tool, an antique inkstone from a bygone era. I believe it's a very old item. It has a lid, and a name is engraved on the back of the lid. It was carefully stored in a paulownia shelf deep within the storage room, so I believe it's a very fine item. The inkstone is made from a dark, reddish-brown stone, with small white granules interspersed throughout. It's a stone I haven't seen before. The ink well of the inkstone is carved with a design often seen in Tai Chi, and the smooth, beautiful shape resembles a comma-shaped bead. Also, a dragon appears from swirling black clouds, breathing fire. The roughness of the clouds is superb, and the carving is quite deep, creating a three-dimensional composition, making it a very lovely item.
