Almost new, made by Karato Tosaburo, Yellow Seto, lacquered lid, mizusashi (with original box) for tea ceremony, tea utensils, tea gathering. I was told it had never been used, but there is a slight scratch on the inside of the lid. It's barely noticeable, so it may have been used once. The lid was stored in a separate box, so perhaps only the lid was used. The mizusashi is beautiful, but I found one hairline crack. There is no catch, and it seems to be only on the surface, in the glaze's glassy layer. I believe it is one of the glaze effects called "nyu" (crazing), as shown in the last photo. Please refer to it. There is no problem with its use. 1974 First selection at the Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and subsequent consecutive selections. Subsequently, received the Encouragement Award, Chunichi Award, Aichi Prefectural Governor's Award, and Tokai Traditional Crafts Award. 1978 First selection at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition (and 24 subsequent selections). 1991 Assumed the name 31st Tosaburo. 1996 Judge at the Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition (4 times thereafter). 2008 Designated as a holder of the intangible cultural property "Togei Ofukei" by Seto City. Numerous solo exhibitions held in various locations. Currently: Regular Member of the Japan Kogei Association Auditor of the Tokai Branch of the Japan Kogei Association
