I purchased this from a vintage shop in England about 10 years ago. It's likely somewhat old, and there are some yellowed areas. The women doing laundry in the sunlight are lovely. ■ Plats du Jour or Foreign Food The cover illustration of the cookbook "Plats du Jour or Foreign Food" by Patience Gray and Primrose Boyd, published in England in 1957 (Publisher: Penguin Books). It is said to be a cookbook that introduced "foreign food" such as French and Italian cuisine, which were still novel at the time, to British readers. Illustrator: David Gentleman
