Narrow belts are common for Indian jewelry buckles, usually up to about 30mm, but this one has a compatible belt width of 40mm. I think the artist probably judged that a thin belt wouldn't suit the weight of the buckle, but when I actually attached it to a belt, it fit perfectly with a 40mm width. The amazing thing is its weight, which is a whopping "approximately 127g". I've handled many Indian jewelry buckles, and this is the heaviest among them. By the way, the most popular ones are around 35-50g, so this one is almost three times heavier. It's a masterpiece that uses silver lavishly. In fact, I remember paying over 40,000 yen for it about 5 years ago. I'm listing it because I have too many buckles and belts...
