This is a TAMA ROYALSTAR vintage snare drum, likely from the 80s, made in Japan and constructed of steel. I am selling it to organize my equipment. I purchased it used about two years ago and have been using it. The batter head is a REMO WEATHERKING COATED AMBASSADOR, and the bottom head is a REMO AMBASSADOR for the snare side. The batter head has some stickiness due to tape used for muting, so it is recommended to replace it. (Photo 5) The outer side of the snares is curved, so it is recommended to replace them as well. (Photo 10) There are scratches and rust visible on the inside of the hoops, so masking tape has been applied. (Photo 15) It is equipped with a mute, and fine adjustments can be made by turning the center dial, and the mute can be easily switched on and off with the outer wing-shaped dial. (Photos 12, 13) There is not much rust, and it is in very clean condition.
