This is a 16th-century Joseon Dynasty Hakeme tea bowl. The thinly molded vessel displays a Hakeme pattern created by applying white clay vigorously over the original gray clay, which is rich in iron. Though simple, it features an iron-painted carrot design, and the interior has three kiln marks from stacking, leaving a glimpse of the past. Unfortunately, there is a hairline crack on the rim. It comes with a shifuku (protective silk pouch) and an old paulownia wood box. Thank you.
