(Commentary by Toshio Suzuki) Kanzō Uchimura (March 23, 1861 (February 13, 1861) - March 28, 1930) A Japanese Christian thinker, writer, evangelist, and biblical scholar. He advocated for Japan's unique "Non-Church" Christianity based on evangelical faith and contemporary social criticism.
