Nine lines Aka-raku ware is a type of Raku ware, a traditional Japanese pottery, and as the name suggests, it is characterized by its "red color." It is made using the "tenezu" (hand-kneading) method, where the shape is formed by hand and a spatula without using a potter's wheel. It is deeply connected to the tea ceremony culture and is known as a teacup that reflects the aesthetic sense of wabi-cha (rustic tea) of Sen no Rikyu. This is an item that has taken time, with small cracks. The hand-painted design is beautifully drawn. It is slightly larger and more substantial than Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware).
