The DVD region code is set to 1, so ALL discs can be played, but domestic DVDs cannot be played. Recently, the disc tray has started to malfunction and not open. This can be resolved by patiently pressing the open/close button on the unit. Once opened, there are no further issues. Please understand this issue and purchase if you are able to address it.
