This is a Hidasuki rice bowl by Bizen-yaki artist Yoshihiro Shibata. It also looks suitable for serving food. The "Sama" (left horse) mark is only used for the first kiln firing, and reading "horse" backwards becomes "to dance," which is considered auspicious. The kiln is usually renewed every 20-25 years, and the works from the first firing are precious to the artist.
